Mediation

Allen has been a Tennessee Supreme Court Rule 31 listed mediator since 2004. In that time he has mediated over one thousand (1,000) cases both as a private mediator and as a mediator employed by the State of Tennessee. He furthered his mediation training by attending an advanced mediation seminar at the prestigious Institute for Conflict Management at David Lipscomb University.

There are a unique set of skills required of a mediator in order to successfully resolve a disputed case between contentious disagreeable parties. A mediator must understand more than the disputed case, a mediator must understand the motivations and underlying issues that drive the case. If the party’s motivations and underlying issues can be satisfied, then it is much easier to reach a resolution on the case that all can agree upon.
